Duties and responsibilities

The successful applicant is expected to be a good communicator and have some sales experience not necessarily within the motor trade. A polite and helpful manner together with a keen interest in motorcycles is essential. You will be responsible for increasing the sales of Triumph, Piaggio, Aprilia, Vespa, and late used bikes. This exciting position will require an understanding of finance, insurance, licensing laws and the motorcycle/scooter market. You will also be required to project the company’s values on customer service and above all be honest and extremely self motivated.

Your job location will be at our Manchester premises located near to the city center on Bury New Rd. Weekend work will be required - this is on a rotating system. Some weekends you will work Saturday only others Saturday and Sunday and some not at all.

Hours of business are weekdays 8.30hrs to 18.00hrs, Saturdays 8.30hrs to 17.00hrs and Sundays 10.30hrs to 16.30hrs. Holiday entitlement will be 20 days plus bank holidays.

Your remuneration will be a basic salary of £16k plus commission on sales of bikes and accessories. You should have OTE of between £30k and £34k. This is a realistic figure based on you committing to the training we provide and honing your skills over a period of two years. Extra holidays are allocated for taking time leave in the off season along with length of service. A generous staff purchase scheme exists that enables parts clothing and new motorcycles to be purchased at trade or below prices. The company also contributes to a stake holder pension scheme with extra payments for long service. As a motorcycle dealership Youles Motorcycles will put you through both manufacturer and in house training that will develop your people skills. We are passionate about the customer experience and will train you to adopt systems and procedures that enhance this thus ensuring you are providing the highest possible levels of service. Selling motorcycles is extremely rewarding particularly if you are passionate about riding and spending time around motorcyclists. Rob the general Manger and Philip have years of experience in the motorcycle trade and are more than keen to share that information with the rest of the team. The Youles team are all connected with Motorcycling in one way or another and have years of experience and knowledge within the industry that we are all only to keen to pass on.

There are no academic qualifications required but honesty and a positive attitude are the key ingredients to being successful in this role.
