Job Purpose

The main purpose of this job is to welcome customers and direct them to the correct department during busy weekend periods. Helping with the sale of Triumph clothing and helmets. Also some posting of social media.

Duties and responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

  • Serving customers with both fashion and technical clothing.
  • Ensuring customers that are waiting for the workshop to do work on their bikes are kept informed as to progress.
  • Re stocking of items that have been sold.
  • General housekeeping of the clothing department.
  • Working with other members of the Youles Motorcycles staff to resolve queries.
  • Some merchandising of clothing displays.
  • Posting of material on social media


  • Training will be provided, by our existing team on the fitment of helmets and other items of technical clothing. Completion of Triumph online training will also be used in initial training. The successful applicant will be shown how to sell items through our dealer management software and place customer orders.
  • Basic computer literacy will be a definite advantage.
  • The days of work for this role are Thursday and Friday 10.00hrs - 18.00hrs Saturday 9.00hrs – 17.00hrs and Sunday 11.00hrs – 16.00hrs

Part time clothing assistant

Working Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday

You will be based in our Blackburn Store serving customers within the clothing department. You are expected to be helpful and project the company values on customer service. There are a whole range of duties that you will be trained to perform with in the clothing department mainly selling fashion and protective clothing. Along with general house keeping and merchandising. On occasions just ensuring that customers are comfortable and at ease whilst a member of the sales team can attend to them will be part of your role. This is a weekend position as these are our busiest trading days. Hollidays are 20 days plus Bank Holidays pro rata. Holidays will be required to be taken in the off season

Good customer facing skills are essential along with a positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively on both the telephone and in person.

This position would suit somebody who enjoys meeting the general public and is passionate about giving outstanding levels of customer service. A happy smile and bubbly personality are part of the Youles culture.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be based at our Manchester store and join our experienced workshop team. We are looking for somebody that has a passion for motorcycles and is able to prepare our used motorcycles to the highest standards. You will often be the face of Youles Motorcycles when delivering and collecting customers machines therefore a smart appearance is essential. You will be responsible for un packing and booking new machines into stock along with photographing used stock for adverts on our various digital platforms. Although no qualifications are required for this position a good standard of writing and arithmetic are essential. Experience of driving a large panel van along with a clean license is preferred.

We will train and improve the successful applicant up to a high standard. Enabling them to be both efficient and accurate therefore projecting the company values. Above all the successful applicant must be keen to learn and be a team player thus taking a path of continual self improvement.

Job Title: Sales Person

Duties and responsibilities

The successful applicant is expected to be a good communicator and have sales experience not necessarily within the motor trade. A polite and helpful manner together with a keen interest in motorcycles is essential. You will be responsible for increasing the sales of Triumph, Piaggio, Aprilia, Vespa, and late used bikes. This exciting position will require an understanding of finance, insurance, licensing laws and the motorcycle/scooter market. You will also be required to project the company’s values on customer service and above all be honest and extremely self motivated.

Your job location will be at our Manchester premises located near to the city center on Bury New Rd. Weekend work will be required - this is on a rotating system. Some weekends you will work Saturday only others Saturday and Sunday and some not at all.

Hours of business are weekdays 8.30hrs to 18.00hrs, Saturdays 8.30hrs to 17.00hrs and Sundays 10.30hrs to 16.30hrs. Holiday entitlement will be 20 days plus bank holidays.

Your remuneration will be a basic salary of £18k plus commission on sales of bikes and accessories. You should have OTE of between £32k and £38k.

This is a realistic figure based on the performance of the person leaving this role after 8 years in the position. Extra holidays are allocated for taking time off in the off season along with length of service. A generous staff purchase scheme exists that enables parts clothing and new motorcycles to be purchased at trade or below prices. The company also contributes to a stake holder pension scheme with extra payments for long service. Duties and responsibilities

This is a full time position and your main focus will be to ensure that customers in the shop are receiving attention from the relevant personnel.

You will be situated on the service reception dealing with warranty administration parts and service reception. This will include preparing estimates and keeping customers regularly updated on progress of workshop jobs. Advising customers about the correct maintenance schedule and any repairs that are required. Part of your job will include the sale of both protective and fashion clothing. We will require you to move around the store ensuring customers are always welcome and being attended to. You will also be required to ensure that items are merchandised correctly and that stock levels are adequate and correct.

When the shop is quiet there will be many duties that we will require your assistance with such as stock taking contacting customers regarding service reminders and general housekeeping.

Good customer facing skills are essential and the ability to be a good communicator on both the telephone and in person. We have a highly motivated team that you will be expected to compliment and help maintain our high levels of customer satisfaction.

We will give training in the use of our Dealer Management Software and you will perform simple ordering and over the counter sales procedures. Including the administration connected with the booking in and out of demonstrators.

It is desirable that you have knowledge of the motorcycle market and a full motorcycle licence, however this is not essential. This position is ideal for somebody with existing high street retail experience.

Although knowledge of our dealer management software is not necessary a level of computer literacy will be an advantage.

Remuneration will be a basic of £9.00 hour. Youles Motorcycles is right at the front of modern motorcycle retailing and are team enjoy giving exceptional customer service. As franchised dealers for Triumph Piaggio and Vespa we have two sites and thirty two years of experience to offer.

Your hours of work will be 9.00-1800 hrs during the week 9.00-17.00hrs on a Saturday and 10.30-16.30 on a Sunday. You will work Monday to Saturday with Wednesday off. Occasionally you will be required to work a Sunday to cover for other members of your team should the requirement arise
